How your information is handled
This page covers two different things, because they're handled two different ways: browsing this website, and being a patient in a Kodama program.
This website
kodamahealth.com doesn’t have accounts and doesn’t use cookies. The public pages (this one, the home page, the program descriptions, the evidence page, and the self-assessment) use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless measurement tool that counts page views and referring sites in aggregate. It doesn’t set cookies, fingerprint your device, or follow you to other sites, and it isn’t an advertising tracker. The program-module and welcome pages carry no analytics at all. Browsing the site, reading about a program, or taking the self-assessment doesn’t create a record tied to you anywhere.
The program-module pages and the pre-program welcome pages use your browser’s local storage to remember interface state: which sections of a module you’ve already read (so the page can show your progress and pick up where you left off), whether a reference panel is open, and which prep-checklist items you’ve checked off before starting. This never includes anything you write or any clinical content, only which sections or checklist items you’ve interacted with. It stays on your own device, is never sent to Kodama, and clears when you use the in-page reset control or clear your browser data. Other pages on this site (including this one, the evidence page, and the self-assessment) don’t use local storage at all.
Like any website, our hosting provider may keep basic technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) needed to serve pages securely and keep the site running. We don’t use this to track you across other sites or build an advertising profile.
Enrolling in a program
If you enroll, your care moves onto Practice Better, a separate healthcare platform built for handling health information securely. That’s where your intake forms, questionnaires, weekly check-ins, messages with your care team, and clinical records actually live, not on this website.
Before you can enroll, you’re asked to review and sign a consent that explains this directly. In short: your care team collects, uses, and securely stores your personal and health information to provide and coordinate your care. That includes what you share during enrollment, questionnaires, check-ins, care-related messages, and records of your participation. Your information isn’t sold, and it’s only shared with others as described in your consent forms or when the law requires it.
Your clinical records are kept for as long as applicable law requires, which depends on the state you’re receiving care in. You can ask your care team about the specific retention period that applies to you at any time.
Founder feedback surveys
If you enroll at the founding-participant rate, you’re asked to complete three short surveys about your experience with the program itself (not your clinical care) at the start, partway through, and at the end. These help Kodama improve the program for future participants. They’re different from your weekly check-ins, which are part of your clinical record, and different from the quality-improvement registry below, which is a separate, optional consent for research use of de-identified data. Completing a founder feedback survey isn’t required to keep your enrollment, access, or founding-participant price; it’s simply the ask that comes with it.
The quality-improvement registry
Separately, and only if you say yes, you can choose to let your de-identified information be included in a registry Kodama uses to understand which parts of the program work best. This is entirely optional, asked as its own yes/no consent, and never affects your care, enrollment, or relationship with your coach either way. You can withdraw at any time by contacting your care team.
Who this is for
Kodama’s programs are for adults 18 and older. There are no state-specific restrictions on where you live.
Kodama’s legal identity
Kodama is operated by Veronica Hollabaugh, LLC, doing business as Kodama, based in Bay Village, Ohio.
