Practice sounds for home
A set of everyday sounds, grouped by where you’d meet them, to trial here before you take the same practice into the real room. This is rehearsal, not a replacement; Module 5 still asks for real sound in the room wherever you can manage it, because that’s what actually produces the evidence your nervous system needs. Use this library for planning a session, or for the days a real version of the sound isn’t available to you.
One boundary worth keeping: these clips are for practice, logged as sessions. A sound that matches one of your own triggers belongs on the ladder, at the rung you choose, never running in the background as enrichment; enrichment stays neutral, plain, and forgettable.
Before you press play
- Speakers, not headphones or earbuds. Same rule as sound enrichment elsewhere in the program: small, near-ear speakers can distort and skew toward high frequencies. Play these out loud, in the room, on whatever speaker you already use, and set the volume yourself.
- Nothing plays until you tap it. No autoplay, ever.
- Your ladder decides the tier, not ours. Every sound here carries a suggested tier tag, and it’s only a starting guess: a sound tagged Tier 1 that sits at 45 for you is your Tier 2, and the reverse. The tiers are about a sound’s character (steady or sudden, familiar or busy), not its loudness; every clip here is set to the same level, and the volume knob is yours. Work from your own hierarchy, and start where Module 5 starts: the bottom rung.
Sounds, by where you’d meet them
Nothing matches that combination; loosen a filter to see more.
This library only stocks sounds suggested at Tier 1–3. The ladder’s 70+ band is deliberately not where the program works, in here or anywhere else.
Using this with your session log
Module 5’s picker links straight here for Tier 1 practice, or come back any time to browse ahead. Whichever sound you use, from here or the real room, log it the same way, with your before, peak, and after SUDS; the session companion in Modules 5 and 6 will walk you through it and give you a summary to paste into the log.
